Staff Profile

My name is Liza Dawley and I am an E1 Teacher at Nokomis Montessori North. E1 is a multigrade classroom with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students. Students will be in my classroom for 3 years. The Montessori learning environment encourages responsibility, cooperation, respect, and independence.  Students will be grouped into small groups for their lessons on math, reading, and culture.

I grew up in Massachusetts before moving to Minnesota for college. My husband and I live with our two dogs and cat in Minneapolis. I have been working at Nokomis North since 2018, as a Restorative Practices Coordinator, E1 student teacher, Art Specialist and now E1 teacher. Outside of school, I love to ski, hike, read and enjoy the ocean with my family. I am looking forward to having a great time teaching and learning with your child this school year.
