Mississippi Creative Arts Students Use Shadow Puppets to Tell Ojibwe Story

5th graders from Mississippi Creative Arts used shadow puppets to tell the Ojibwe story of Mashkiki Road by Elizabeth S. Barrett. The puppets were an engaging way to learn about the 7 Grandfather Teachings. Kindergarteners also taught our student body about local Anishinaabe Artist, Julie Bodoa. Julie visited their classroom and they made the beading necklaces inspired by her.
