Our Math curriculum is the Everyday Math program. This is a challenging curriculum which will prepare your child for higher mathematical thinking.
Writer's Workshop is collaboratively taught with Ms. Francine Parling, our talented ELL teacher.
Readers' Workshop is taught to students through Guided Oral Reading instruction. Flexible, small groups guide your child at their reading level, challenging them to excel in reading.
The Second Grade Focus in Science is Life Cycles, taught through experimentation and hands-on activities in Insects and Plants.
Social Studies focuses on Place and Map Making.
We have many field trips planned this year, and artist residency programs.
