| Special Happenings in Ms. Cecere's Class Technology Showcase 2003
Grade 3 students from Ms. Cecere's class attended the St. Paul Schools Technology Showcase at the Sheraton Hotel in St. Paul, on March 13, 2003.
Students displayed their maps of an imaginary community they had drawn using MicroWorlds software. The project included simple question and answer pages to accompany their maps. Students used Kidspiration software to create story maps about the characteristics of their community. Lastly, brochures were created in AppleWorks6 to promote their special places.
This is just one example of how staff at Mississippi integrate what the students are learning (curriculum) in the classroom with the many technology skills they learn in the lab.
