Mississippi Creative Arts Magnet School is one of the first and finest creative arts elementary schools in Saint Paul. We're known for emphasis on the Arts combined with a strong core academic program serving about 600 students.
The Arts (Dance, Math, Science, Media Arts, Music, Literature and Visual Arts) are blended into the academic program and are firmly established as basic skills for all students.
Teachers work in teams and use the best from various educational methods and styles (best practices) to help all students achieve and perform at high levels. Standards of high expectations focus on building skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, mathematics, critical thinking and expressing thoughts and feelings in imaginative ways.
In addition, subjects such as language, social science and a natural science are an important part of the school's academic program.
